After Algeria's last-ditch victory over Niger (2-1), Tanzania had the opportunity to take second place in Group F on Friday, March 24, in the third day of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers. The Taifa Stars went to beat Uganda (1-0). Simon Msuva scored the only goal of the game (68th). Tanzania (4 pts) is now second in the group behind the Fennecs (9 pts). Niger (2 pts) and Uganda (1 pt) close the gap.
