Bamba Dieng was the starter for Marseille in the French Cup on Saturday against Hyères (32nd final). The Senegalese striker, undesirable last summer and reinstated in the first team in recent weeks, scored the second goal of the Phocéens, winners 2-0. However, Marseille played more than one period with 10 players as the Ivorian defender Eric Bailly was sent off in the 15th minute because of a dangerous kick.
