South Africa has long believed to hold the victory against the Fiji Islands. But the Springbokswomen finally lost 17-21, notably conceding a try at the last minute of play on Sunday.

This is the second defeat of the South Africans in the competition after the humiliation suffered in the opening against France (5-40).
