Postponement of CAN 2023: the new dates of the Ivorian championships
The postponement of CAN 2023 logically had an impact on local Ivorian football. Thus, the leaders of the Ivorian Football Federation have changed the dates of the various local championships. The new calendar was made public this Friday, July 15.
Thus Ligue 1 will start on Saturday September 10. Ligue 2 will resume its rights six days later. The Division 3 will start on the 30th.
The resumption of the Women's Ligue 1 is scheduled for October 1, while Regional Division and District competitions will begin on October7.
All championships, professional and amateur, must end no later than June 30, 2023.
The start of the pro club registration period is set for July 18. That of the other clubs is set for August 1.
For the coming season, Côte d'Ivoire will be represented at the continental level by ASEC Mimosas (Champions League) and Sporting Gagnoa (Confederation Cup).
