After Morgan Guilavogui of Paris FC (Ligue 2 France), it is around Mohamed Bayo the striker of Clermont Foot (Ligue 1 France) to withdraw for the first two days of the CAN 2023 qualifiers. The Clermont striker is victim of a knee injury announced the Guinean football federation.

To make up for this absence, Kaba Diawara called on Mamadou Kané, the Olympiacos player (D1 Greece). The latter is expected the next few days in Morocco. Guinea face Egypt on June 2 in Cairo and Malawi on June 6 in Conakry.
