CAN 2021-Ivory Coast: Beaumelle contradicts Demba Ba on the lawn

Since the start of this CAN 2021, the state of the lawns has been pointed out by certain actors and observers. This is particularly the case of the former Senegalese international Demba Ba, not tender about that of the Japoma Stadium, which hosts the meetings of group E. An opinion that does not share Patrice Beaumelle. 

“  The pitch at the Japoma stadium is more than adequate. We have seen worse lawns during certain CANs  , ”commented the coach of Côte d'Ivoire at a press conference. After their initial victory over Equatorial Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire will face Sierra Leone this Sunday during the second day of the group stage, in Japoma.
