As Africa News 24 had envisioned, the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup play-offs will take place next June in Qatar.  Seven matches will be played from June 19 to 25 in stadiums to be specified.

The winners of the play-offs will qualify for the group stage, organized by the emirate from November 30 to December 16.  The first match of the 2021 Arab Cup play-offs will pit Sudan against Libya on June 19 in the only 100% African shock of the competition.

In addition to these two selections, five others, affiliated to the African Football Confederation, will be affected by this preliminary round: Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, South Sudan and Comoros.
